Joined Jul 25, Messages 5, Hi there, I’ve never heard of anyone [Surface owners] not having a Microsoft account. They’re free, and you can set them up using existing email accounts such as gmail or yahoo.

It would be far easier to just create an account, sign in, then you wouldn’t ever have to worry about it again. TonyB25 Banned.

Does she a true Office version or a Office version? Hi Guys, I haven’t physically had my hands on it so I’m not sure if it’s Office or Office , nor do I know if it was bought or pre-installed.

What I do know is that my parents who are over privacy conscience are very skeptical about their info “possibly” being kept in the Cloud. Is this possible? Yes, they just need to be sure that OneNote is NOT being defauted yo the cloud to be shared with others. Make sure that the default location is to thier local “User” folder. When your Mother is prompted to sign in, click on the option to create a new account.

Then click the X in the upper right corner to close that window. Then you should be in OneNote and shouldn’t get the prompt again to sign in or create an account.

Use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free.Microsoft OneNote 2013 Free now without restrictions (but one)

I bought a surface book today. One of the nice features is the pen. Click it, it opens one note immediately, use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free you can jot down notes and such. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find how to open it without a Microsoft account Which I do not want, nor would I even be allowed to use in my work environment, nor do I care if my random musings go to the cloud.

When you go to open onenote, the first And only thing it does is ask you to sign in with your microsoft account. How can I use onenote without having a microsoft account? Or Cortana, for that matter. It’s actively turning me off this dollar product I just bought. You just listed two products of theirs that are specifically cloud products. It’s not surprising they want you to sign in for them to function. Either sign up for a Microsoft account, or don’t use those apps.

A Microsoft account is the base you need to access many services. Are you seriously surprised by this? These services are intrinsically tied with cloud computing I mean, for fuck’s sake, OneDrive is in and of itself Cloud Storage – how do you figure you don’t need an account. Are you asking about One Drive or One Note? If the latter, then which version? If you are using the free version then yes, you do need a Microsoft account – much like Evernote or other note apps require accounts.

If use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free are using a purchased version, you should ссылка на продолжение able to skip sign-in. Sounds like you bought a car then got pissed off that you have to drive on roads. Bought a cell phone and office professional plus 2010 compatible with 10 free pissed off that you have to use the cell towers. Hard to believe your work will let you bring your onw device but wont let you use a Microsoft account.

While you don’t need to sign into Windows with a Microsoft account, you absolutely need an MS account to use cloud products such as OneDrive and Cortana. If you meant One Noteas in the built-in OneNote app, you also need to sign into it with a Microsoft account. It’s a paired down version designed to work with the cloud only. You will need to install a desktop version of Office you bought if you want local noteooks.

Entegy wrote: That’s a desktop version of OneNote Yes it is. My point was that you don’t need Office to get the desktop version of OneNote, it’s offered stand alone for free. And Cortana has plenty of non-cloud capabilities. For example, I really just want to be able to say “Cortana These tasks aren’t адрес страницы connected to the Microsoft cloud. Thank you to those that tried to help.

I’ll try downloading a new version of oneNote. Reread your thread title and try that snark again. Good catch. Thank you in particular for being helpful use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free of my ambiguous question. Cortana has literally 0 capabilities without being connected to its Azure backend because it requires the server нажмите чтобы перейти to perform proper voice recognition.

Just like Siri, the “natural language” algorithms that it uses to understand you without you having to talk /13706.txt a robot, are all off loaded to the MS servers. That version you linked to is the “Modern UI” version. I’m not sure if it’s a universal app, but it’s debatable if it can be called a “desktop” version.

Yes, technically it can run on desktops, but it’s designed first and foremost for touch. The full version of OneNote only comes with Office and is designed with keyboard, mouse, pen and touch in mind. The free version of OneNote requires a Microsoft Account as already notedthe version that comes with Office does not.

It’s free for a reason, and that reason is to push MS services. There’s a free version of desktop OneNote. The download page of course pushes the Store version but click “Windows Desktop” on that page to get the desktop version. I don’t know its limits as I’ve always had OneNote as part of Office.

Then you didn’t actually read my post See that last part, that gets you the full OneNote. Again, no need to buy Office to get the full desktop use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free of OneNote free. Incidentally, with the update you can now use some Cortana features without requiring MSA signin.

Most of the good stuff like reminders is still MSA-only though. Do you already have bit Microsoft Office applications installed? I believe the “don’t mix bitness” restriction applies to OneNote as use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free. As a rule, don’t use bit versions of Office apps unless you have specific workload needs that require it. The Ventriloquist wrote: As a rule, don’t use bit versions of Office apps unless you have specific workload needs that require it.

Using the bit version is fine and safe unless you have a specific extension that doesn’t work. Entegy wrote: Hogwash. Let’s put it this way: I run into more “have to roll client Office install back to 32 because they discovered they need a bit only extension after the fact” issues per year than “have to bump the client Office install up to 64 because they have mondo Excel resource requirements.

Microsoft themselves recommend not using the 64 bit office unless you require some specific feature. It all depends on your environment. My company apparently started deploying Office bit the moment it was available. To date, there was exactly one extension that was bit only and use onenote 2013 without microsoft account free popped up only this year.

People working with large Excel spreadsheets in particular got a boost. Last edited by lowcrawler on Thu Dec 17, am. Ars Legatus Legionis et Subscriptor. Caffeine Addict.
