Asia digital finance hosted ‘Asian Digital Finance Forum and Awards’ which was hosted by the Asian FinTech Academy (AFTA) in collaboration with Colorado, USA based American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) and Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM) in a hybrid format virtually and in-person at Hilton Colombo last week.

Dharmasri Kumaratunge(Assistant Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka), Sujeewa Rajapakse( chairman of the People’s bank), Takeshi Kito (vice – chair of the Fintech association of Japan), Matthew Olivier (vice President of Freebalance) Tissa Jayaweera – (senior advisor of FASL, Rajkumar Kanagasingam ( President of FASL) graced the event Physically.
The major banks in Sri Lanka were recognized including Bank of Ceylon with the “Best People’s Banking Service Initiative” award, Commercial Bank with the “Best Frictionless Credit Evaluation Initiative”, Hatton National Bank with the “Best IOT Initiative” and People’s Bank with the “Best Mobile Electronic Payment Initiative”.
Many individuals received outstanding innovative awards at the ceremony.
