Annual Exhibition of SLICCA and Sri Lanka cake awards 2022.

SL Institute of confectionery and culinary hosted the most prestigious sugar show in the country on the 29th and 30th of January at Hotel Galadari.

The sugar show consisted of over 300 out standing exhibits, from the students and finialists of the Sri Lanka cake awards.

The chief guest of the event was the legend in culinary Dr Publis Silva – accompanied by former parliamentarians Mrs Hinunika Premachanda, Mr Hazad Sally, and Mr Shafeek Rajabdeen.

Over 1000 of the general public had attend the see the ultimate Creations on both days.

Dr F Rushda Najumudeen PH. D- takes the honour in hosting the prestigious show for the 5th consecutive year.

Students from the ten affiliate branches of SLICCA had exhibited their final cakes too.

DR Rushda takes the honour in hosting the inaugural Asia cake awards for the first time in Asia in July 2022.

Enchancing the skills in the culinary education and contributing to the literacy rate of the country is one of the mission of SLICCA.

And Sri Lanka cake is all about recognizing talents.

A virtual panel of judging organised by Mr Sharon Siriwardana (Usa) took place with the head judge Chef Andriano Zumbo of Australia selecting the title winners for the awards.

The awards will take place on the 13th of February at Hotel SHANGRI-LA Colombo
